Solo Dinner

Updated: Oct 20, 2018

As you all may know, I'm trying to embrace my time alone and doing things alone. I went shopping alone, but I've done that countless times. However, the more frequent I shop alone, the more I'm starting to like I and enjoy it. Today, I decided to take it one step further. Go to dinner by myself. Of course I debated about it with myself for a bit. I posted a picture on my IG story to see if anyone would reply saying, "YES! I'll go eat with you!" That didn't happen, and I was starting to get really hungry-- to the point if I didn't eat, I'll be hangry. I decided then and there to make a decision on a restaurant and go.

I decided to go to PinKU Japanese Street Food in Minneapolis. That restaurant has been on my list sometime, and I've drove by it a couple of times. So I decided to drive 20 or so minutes and try it out. As I was going down 4th street, I missed the left turn to Central. Dang GPS! Sometimes they are so unreliable. I missed the turn, and rerouted accordingly. As I drove past the restaurant, I noticed all the street parking was full. I ended up driving past the restaurant and started driving home. I felt defeated and wanted to give up. Yes, all because I didn't find any parking and because I am a bit unfamiliar with the area I thought I should just head back. However, a part of me said NO. You already made it here, you're so close! You can't just go back home, you didn't drive here for no reason.

I then rerouted to the restaurant again, and this time I found a couple parking spaces! One was literally right across the street from PinKU! ATLAST! Now, I just had to figure out how to pay for my parking space. Thank goodness, I already had the MPLS Parking app. Seriously, if you don't have the app and you're in the Minneapolis area... Consider getting it. So much easier to pay for your parking! After fumbling around with the app for about five minutes, I was able to pay for my parking. I made my way to the restaurant.

Menu

I've been there and the price for what you get was interesting lol that was kind of when they first opened so it could have changed. The food was good though, but I have never been back
